About Us
We Built the Boot We Couldn't Find.
For years, we searched for a boot that had it all — real leather, honest construction, a silhouette that worked everywhere, and a price that made sense for what you were actually getting. We kept finding compromises. Too trendy. Too fragile. Too mass-produced. Boots designed to last one season, not one decade.
So we stopped looking and started building.
What We Believe
Consilla was founded on one belief: that a great boot should outlast the season it was bought in. Not just survive it — outlast it. We're living in a world of fast fashion, disposable everything, and products engineered to be replaced. We're building against that.
Every decision we make — from the leather we source to the artisans we work with to the soles we spec — comes back to the same question: will this still be worth wearing in ten years? If the answer is yes, we move forward. If it's not, we go back to the drawing board.
We don't do trend drops. We don't do synthetic fills. We don't do shortcuts dressed up as design choices.
The Name
Consilla. From the Latin consilium — counsel, deliberate advice, a considered judgment. It's what we offer every woman who walks into our world: a considered choice. Not another purchase. Not another pair of boots that ends up at the back of the closet. Something worth keeping, worth caring for, worth handing down.
We chose the name because we wanted to stand for something. The boot industry is full of noise — endless collections, endless newness, endless consumption. Consilla is a different kind of conversation. One that starts with: what do you actually need?
How We Make Them
Every Consilla boot starts with full-grain leather sourced from European tanneries — the only grade of leather that develops a patina over time, that softens to the shape of your foot, that gets more beautiful the more you wear it. We don't use corrected grain. We don't use bonded leather. We don't use anything that won't age well.
From there, each pair is cut by hand and stitched by a single artisan from the first seam to the last. No assembly line. No split responsibilities. One person, one pair, start to finish. That matters to us — not just because it produces a better boot, but because it means someone takes real pride in every pair that leaves our workshop.
We finish every boot with solid brass hardware and resoleable soles. That last part is important. A resoleable boot is a boot you can keep forever. When the sole wears down — and it will, because you're actually wearing them — you bring them back to a cobbler and give them another decade. That's the Consilla promise: we build boots that can be repaired, not just replaced.
Who We're For
Consilla is for the woman who buys less and chooses better. Who has learned — maybe the hard way — that cheap doesn't save money in the long run. Who wants to open her closet and see things she loves, not things she settled for.
She doesn't need ten pairs of boots. She needs one great pair. Maybe two. Boots that work with everything, that she reaches for automatically, that she feels confident in without having to think about it.
That's who we built this for. That's who we keep building for.
Our Promise
We're not here to sell you on a seasonal trend or convince you that new is always better. We're here to make something worth owning. Every pair we ship is an extension of that commitment — to craft, to quality, and to the woman wearing them.
